Defining & Achieving Strategic Value

Research Areas

We use stakeholder analyses, research, and other mission/business analysis techniques to help research sponsors define their strategic objectives. Not properly defining the problem creates future problems. We use and develop innovative systems engineering, decision & risk analysis, data analytics, and trade-off analytics methods to identify promising opportunities and create high value solutions with acceptable risk. We use agile project and product development techniques to ensure we meet our sponsor’s scope, schedule, and budget.

Techniques

We iteratively develop integrated decision-making models to improve performance and reduce costs. This enables us to analyze how changing decisions impact sequential decisions, uncertainties, and the sponsor’s desired measure(s) of effectiveness. We use simulation techniques to analyze and measure risk. Finally, we use trade-off analytics, which requires descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, to better inform decision-making.
